JBM Technologies of Ohio announced it has moved to a new, larger facility in Willoughby, OH. Through JBM's continued and growing partnership with Kitamura Machinery over the last 37 years, it has taken the opportunity to open a new showroom in a more centralized area of Ohio to better assist customers with in-house service and applications. This new showroom is now the home to the newest version of Kitamura's HX250iG HMC, as seen on display at the recent Precision Machining Technology Show (PMTS) 2025 in Cleveland, OH.
JBM had the opportunity to show the HX250iG at PMTS 2025. JBM demonstrated the flexibility of a Kitamura HMC and showcased the possibilities of machining multiple operations on one tombstone by designing some creative fixturing. To accomplish this, it partnered with Abbott Workholding, Mitee-Bite Products and SGS Kyocera Tools.
The HX250iG is a compact horizontal, but compact does not mean limited, JBM reported. Weighing in at over 10,000 lbs., it features a 15 HP 30 taper dual contact direct drive spindle capable of 15,000 RPM, making it powerful and capable of heavy cutting. Kitamura horizontals are designed to scale with a business through the addition of field retrofittable automatic tool and pallet changers.
"In business for over 40 years, JBM redefines the meaning of customer support for manufacturers," said a company spokesperson. "The true difference lies in our commitment and ability to exceed expectations after your machine tool purchase. This includes everything from rapid response times to free, ongoing phone support from our engineering team. With service and applications in four locations, JBM can partner with customers to any degree they are comfortable with-including custom turn-key and shared-key solutions designed by our in-house applications department."
