Local graduate and future mechanical engineer Nate Huey is enjoying some of life’s greatest moments. Nate has been a part of his high school Robobots team at Cochranton High since 9th grade. The school provides experiences in CAD, CAM, CNC, and robotics as part of their academic program. Through this process he has designed and manufactured robots which has taken their team all the way to nationals for 2 years running. Scholarships were presented to students July 21 at the annual NWPA NTMA golf outing at The Country Club of Meadville. Partial proceeds from the annual golf outing benefit the Education Foundation. JBM's Employee, Nick Ozorak was among those student's to a receive a scholarship.
JBM held their Demo Day events on February 19, 2015 at the Western Pa location and February 26, 2015 at the Eastern Pa location. Both locations had a great turn out, with a steady flow of customers in and out throughout the afternoon. The events featured the debut of the new Kitamura Mycenter 3XD.
A small shop added two new machines, each of which is more advanced than any of the previous machine tools the company has used. One of the co-owners committed to the work of bringing both of these machines fully into service. Here is the shop’s experience so far.
